Photographs of Models

Follow these steps when taking photographs, or of your young person

You do not need professional photos to apply to us - good quality home snaps are fine.

If possible the subject should be against a plain background, but not so close to a wall as to create a shadow behind them.

The photo should not include anyone else.

Photos should be clear, not blurry.

Good light is essential - preferably natural light.

The camera should be positioned at the subject's eyeline in order to take the photo straight on (not from above or below).

For front-facing shots the subject should be looking directly at the camera.

The head and face should be free from clothing (unless for cultural reasons) and objects. Please keep hair from covering face and eyes. It’s very important we can see the subject's eyes. No make up.

(For very young children) Definitely no food on the face, dribble on the clothes etc.

Subjects should wear plain, simple clothes with no logos.

If the child is not sitting yet then lie them on a plain, light coloured blanket.

Please send at least two head-and-shoulders shots (one from the front and one from the side) and one full length shot.

We will give you the opportunity to have your updated photos done with our in-house photographers at least four times a year, and in several locations to make the service as accessible as possible. You do not have to use our in-house team, but we will be offering preferential rates to our clients.

We will also offer our clients opportunities to develop their show-reels and give advice on appropriate monologues.

We also have several qualified chaperones we can call on to accompany our clients if and when necessary.
